Memphis Sport Shooting Association, Arlington, TN

Info Here

Bullseye pistol competitions are held monthly (1st and 3rd Saturdays) from March through November starting at 9:00 AM. The cost is $10.00. The matches are shot at the 25/50 yd covered line. All Bullseye matches are military, Police Service, CMP Service Pistol, and .22 rimfire ELC matches.

Bullseye shooting is also referred to as conventional pistol. It has a long history in the shooting sports and for decades the Bullseye National Championship has been held annually at Camp Perry, OH. Bullseye matches can be shot with a .22 caliber pistol, centerfire pistol, and .45 caliber pistol. Many Bullseye shooters use the .45 caliber for the centerfire matches. Most of our matches will involve all three guns; however, some shooters just shoo the .22 caliber pistol. Therefore, you can get into Bullseye shooting with just a target .22 pistol and a couple of boxes of ammo (100 rounds). A spotting scope is helpful but not absolutely necessary. Bullseye shooting places an emphasis on the fundamentals of marksmanship. The match score sheets will help you keep track of the improvement in your shooting skills. The National Match Course is the foundation of the course of fire in Bullseye. The NMC consists of 10 shots slow fire (10 shots/10 minutes) at a distance of 50 yards; 10 shots timed fire (two strings of five shots in 20 seconds) at a distance of 25 yards; and 10 shots rapid fire (two strings of five shots in 10 seconds) at a distance of 25 yards. Please feel free to contact megranberry10@gmail.com if you have any questions, but probably stopping by to watch a match will give you a much better idea of what Bullseye shooting is all about.
